Test Shots
Using Premiere Pro, we put together edits of the test shots we had taken and inserted text saying what was good and what we could do better.

Test Shot Evaluations
Doing the test shots before filming the final shots was invaluable, because being able to look at the test shots allowed us to find any mistakes we made, which meant that we could learn from them and not make the same mistakes in the final shoot. An example of a mistake we made while filming was having a poor background in the studio, because the curtains weren't completely covering the background which meant that there was wall, wood and sound treatment foam in the shot, which made it look poorly done and amateurish. - Ben
Test shooting also showed us some problems that can't be solved. For example, on the stage in the Great Hall there is a massive Christmas tree which cannot be moved. For most of the shots the tree can't be seen, but there are a few shots of the whole room, in which it's impossible not to notice it. though we know it can't be changed, the testing made us aware of the situation. Another issue which we just had to be aware of is that, in the park there are quite a few people walking their dogs and jogging ect. Since we did the park test shots on the school field, we did not have this problem, but we acknowledged that this would be something to be careful of when actually filming.
The test shots also helped us find out which shots did and didn't work. Though we had the shots in the shotlist and storyboard there were a few which, when we watched back, we decided against. One example is that there was a shot in the great hall where the camera was on the balcony and it zoomed in on me, Ben and Simon. When we saw this shot back we didn't think it fitted the pace of the song and decided not to use it when we actually filmed. - Josh
Digipak Drafts - Simon
Website Draft - Tabitha
Website Drafts Analysis - Tabitha
From our group discussion, we have decided what we do and don’t want to include from each website draft. Firstly, we have decided to combine some of the links on the navigation bars from each draft. This is because we only wanted to choose the ones that were most appropriate.
We have decided to keep the Spotify feature of the right of the website. This is because we think that it would be an easy way for anyone to listen to the artist’s music.
We have also agreed to keep the social media links section on the homepage. This is because it is an effective way of connecting the artist with his fans. Also, as the majority of the target audience use these sites.
For the website banner, we have decided to use the idea from draft 2 because it would stand out against the rest of the features as the banner alternates between a few different images.
We have decided to include the photo scroller feature as at is an easy way for fans to look through some of his photos. Although we will have this on the homepage, we will still include it on the navigation bar so people can go to a page and see all the photos.
We have also decided that we aren’t going to use the colour schemes for either draft because as a group we have discussed that it should follow the same colour scheme as the digipak, which is white and blue.
We are going to keep the live twitter feed from draft 2 because even though we will have a link to the website in the social media section, this would be an easier and quicker way for the audience to see the latest tweets.
